Bodega Norton winemaker David Bonomi has been recognised as ‘Winemaker of The Year’ by Tim Atkin

Bodega Norton winemaker David Bonomi has been recognised as the Winemaker of The Year by Tim Atkin, the well-known English Master of Wine and one of the main wine critics of the world, in his “Argentina 2020 Special Report.”

This unique distinction is the result of David’s talent and great sensitivity. David works shoulder to shoulder with Maria Lis Persico in the winemaking area and with Fernando Puliti and Gonzalo Ortiz Maldonado in the estates vineyards.

This year, David Bonomi has not only been awarded because of his career in Bodega Norton but also because of his incredible work in PerSe, his personal project.

“We congratulate David and we are proud to share this news with all of you! It is a privilege to count with so much talent that is reflected not only in the excellence of our wines but also in our teamwork along these 125 years”, states Michael Halstrick, President and CEO of Bodega Norton.

Every year, Tim Atkin also distinguishes the best 100 wines of Argentina, among which the iconic wine of Bodega Norton “Gernot Langes,” awarded 95 points.

This amazing news rounds off Norton’s anniversary in which they are celebrating 125 years of trajectory. Being one of the most historic wineries to introduce innovations and modern techniques, Bodega Norton nowadays has the privilege of having the Winemaker of the Year in their team.
