Berkmann Wine Cellars offers 50,000 bottles to independent hospitality venues to support on-trade re-opening

Berkmann Wine Cellars has announced a new initiative, ‘Welcome back, first case on us’, as part of its continued work to support the hospitality industry. After its Help4Hospitality program, supporting the industry throughout the pandemic, this new initiative aims to help on trade venues across the country re-opening their doors from Monday 12th April.

‘Welcome back, first case on us’ will see Berkmann Wine Cellars share over 50,000 bottles of wine with its participating independent hospitality venues from some of the world’s leading producers that form part of the wine merchant’s impressive portfolio.

This initiative will be granted to Berkmann’s independent on-trade customers through a registration process. The new campaign will be available from the 12th of April until the 17th of May, two important dates in the hospitality calendar as the industry hope to re-unite with its customers once again.

The announcement comes as another wave of support that Berkmann Wine Cellars has granted to outlets suffering months of enforced closure.

Rupert Berkmann CEO of Berkmann Wine Cellars says: “The past year has been incredibly challenging. Our beloved hospitality industry has been a well-known recipient of these challenges, having faced an unprecedented amount of insecurity through total lockdowns, enforced closures and gradual re-openings. We are, along with our agencies, thrilled to be in a position to keep supporting our partners in the trade at this crucial time through our ‘Welcome back, first case on us’ initiative. We hope it will help make a difference in their re-opening process as well as boost their spring wine sales”
