Demonstrating incredible consistency across competitions,  Chapel Hill The Vicar Shiraz 2016 was also awarded a Gold medal at the recent 2018 IWC Awards. The Vicar is Chapel Hill’s flagship wine and is an annual vineyard selection of Chapel Hill’s most outstanding and expressive parcels of McLaren Vale Shiraz. This wine is intended to embody Chapel Hill’s commitment to McLaren Vale, its regal and noble variety and to embody winemaker Michael Fragos’ belief in minimal intervention winemaking.

Bodega Norton was also recognised for the exceptional quality of their wines, winning both the Argentinian Red Trophy for the Norton Privada Family Blend 2015, as well as the Regional Lujan De Cuyo Malbec Trophy for the wine.

This wine is due to arrive in the UK later in the autumn. Privada Family blend is one of the icon blends of Argentina, consistently rated from one vintage to the next. It is a Bordeaux blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, grapes in this blend are selected from some of Norton’s oldest vines, between fifty and eighty years old.

Norton also picked up the Regional Uco Valley Malbec Blend Trophy for Lote Negro 2015.

Congratulations to all producers!
