Brand Manager

Key roles and responsibilities:

Brand Planning: To work with the Head of Marketing to deliver cohesive plans that are aligned with Berkmann Wine Cellars and the Brand’s expectations to drive profitable growth.  

Brand Owner Management: Ensure that the Brand Owner is kept apace of plans, activity and progress, positioning Berkmann as a “best in class” distributor for the Brand. 

Sales Interface: Act as the core representative between Marketing/Buying and the Sales Team; updating them on initiatives and range changes, gathering input for plans and strategies and supporting them where necessary. You will be responsible for following the sales of the brand, you will be required to visit the market place with the sales team,to drive sales & make the most of distribution opportunities. 

Reporting: Compiling monthly reports to show progress against objectives highlighting sales and activity. 

Budgets: Working closely with the Head of Marketing to manage the budget to ensure The Brand’s volumes and spend are aligned (including forecasts). 

Execution: Deliver and implement initiatives to drive value and volume that is commensurate with the Brand Plan (including tastings, events, competitions and working with the press to further raise the profile and awareness of the Brand’s portfolio). 

Ad hoc: Supporting the Brand and the Head of Marketing as is required to achieve the goals and objectives that are set by the Brand Owner and Berkmann Wine Cellars. Please note that this role will require travelling to support the sales teams around the country to drive sales & brand exposure. 

Preferred applicants will:

Have a good working knowledge (written and verbal) of Italian.

Have a proven track record in Brand Management and Sales.

Have a good working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Possess a good knowledge of the UK market.

Have excellent presentation skills.Have budget management experience.

Be organized, determined and persistent.

Be able to communicate at different organization levels.

Sales Account Manager – South London & Southern Home Counties

Berkmann Wine Cellars is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Account Manager, who already has a working knowledge of the wine market / industry. 

You will: 

  • Be passionate about wine and have recognised wine qualifications
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Have appropriate sales experience with a proven track record
  • Be professional, self motivated and now looking for a new challenge
  • Demonstrate time management skills and disciplines in order to get the job done
  • Act with professionalism and integrity at all times

You will be expected to: 

  • Promote brands and introduce our products into restaurants, hotels, pubs
  • Manage the growth and expansion of your accounts to meet personal targets
  • Organise wine tastings and customer staff training
  • Achieve on-target sales, meet required reporting programme and participate in sales meetings
