Proprietor Robert Hill Smith received the “Len Evans Award for Leadership”, an award that recognises the ‘contribution to the Australian wine industry by an inspirational leader.’
Louise Rose was honoured as “Winemaker of the Year”. She is only the second woman to achieve this accolade, although she was a finalist for this award both in 2000 and 2005. As Chief Winemaker at Yalumba and Hill Smith Family Vineyards, Rose is responsible for the production of some spectacular aromatic white wines.
